Telephone
By: Tyler Uberstine
The telephone, invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876, was among one of the most technical innovations during the Industrial Revolution. A telecommunications device, the telephone, changed the world of business and trade. Alexander Bell was a native Scottish American Scientist who invented the telephone for one specific reason. Previously from becoming an inventor, he worked at a school of deaf children. The means of inventing this was to give the children hope that they could one day hear. After he invented the first ever telephone, he was referred to as the "teacher of the deaf." People were able to communicate over long and short distances in a faster, more efficient manner. The telephone allowed people to have a conversation that could not be talked about in person. Trade was affected because people could communicate what, when and where they wanted their goods. The telephone revolutionized the industrial era. People were able to relay information and inform others of current topics and issues.
